A Refractive error is a condition in which the parallel rays of light coming from infinity do not come to a focus in the light sensitive layer of the retina. I originally went in dead-set on getting WaveLight Plus (custom LASIK) based on my own research. However, after detailed scans (cornea thickness of 574, myopia around -2.9, and minor astigmatism), the doctor took the time to explain why SMILE Pro was actually the safer option for me. Because I already experience mild dry eyes, he advised against a flap-based procedure, noting that SMILE Pro would deliver the same perfect results without risking permanent dry eye or flap complications. I highly appreciated his honesty and patient-first approach rather than just performing the surgery I initially asked for.

The SMILE Pro procedure itself was completely painless, fascinating, and finished in under 20 minutes. What truly set this clinic apart, however, was their outstanding hospitality.
