FEMTO LASIK

Precision Redefined With
Time Tested Safety

Femto Lasik is one of the safest and a truly time tested Laser Vision Correction Procedure. Femto-Lasik was introduced by Visual Aids Centre in India in the year 2012. The corneal flap up until 2011 was made using a conventional microkeratome which is a mechanical instrument comprising of a blade. Like most mechanical instruments, the results are not always precise and predictable. There are certain degrees of risks involved when a blade is used to create a corneal flap. Using the Femto-Second laser technology, the corneal flap is separated through tiny air bubbles which is more precise and minimally invasive and therefore preserves the natural constitution of the eye.

Femto-second laser technology was introduced to mitigate all potential risks and to achieve predictable outcomes, and is now considered to be the most patient friendly option.

What's New With Femto Lasik?

The pre procedural planning takes precedence in Femto-second Lasik and a truly customized procedure as per the needs and wants of the patients is designed. With Femto Lasik being completely Blade- Free, a pre-determined tailor-made approach towards each eye is taken. More precision implies safer and better visual outcomes.
