What is IntraLase LASIK (Blade-Free LASIK)?

The word LASIK stands for Laser in-situ Keratomileusis. It is a blade-free treatment, which uses Femtosecond Laser to create a corneal flap. This Flap is then lifted by our surgeon and beam of light called laser is focused on the bed of the cornea. This flattens the surface giving perfect vision correction. LASIK is recommended for people who have certain conditions like Myopia (Near-sightedness), Hyperopia (Farsightedness), or Astigmatism. LASIK only provides freedom from glasses and contact lenses FOR DISTANCE VISION ONLY.

The procedure begins within 10-15 minutes where the patient is made to lie down on the OT bed focused under the LASIK machine. The surgeon would be providing proper instructions and briefing to the patient about the entire procedure.
